AMENDMENT TO THE DISTRIBUTION OF EXCESS FUNDS
At the end of year meeting, it was noted that there was an error in the distribution of the Highway Fund
unexpended balance due to an overestimation of the surplus. The actual surplus for the Highway Fund
was $270,740.57, not the previously stated amount of $319,565.57.
As a result, the following corrections were made to the distribution:
1. Unassigned Fund Balance: The previous transfer of $20,068.74 was based on the incorrect
surplus amount. The correct net change to the Unassigned Fund Balance should have been a
decrease of $28,756.26 to align with the accurate surplus amount. Therefore, the corrected
transfer to Unassigned Fund Balance is -$28,756.26.
2. Reserve “A” Machinery and Reserve “H” Bridge Repair: No changes are made to the previously
approved transfers to Reserve “A” and Reserve “H” as the funds transferred to these accounts
remain unaffected.
The Town Board, having reviewed the error and the corrected figures, approves the adjustments as
outlined.
