Minutes of the monthly audit meeting of the Town of Olive Town Board, held Monday March 7, 2022 7 pm held at the Town Hall on Bostock Road in Shokan

.

Members Present:                            Jim Sofranko, Supervisor

Drew Boggess, Board Member

Scott Kelder, Board Member

David Edinger, Board Member

Victoria Read, Board Member

 

Recording Secretary:                        Dawn Giuditta, Town Clerk

 

Others Present: Brian Burns, Highway Superintendent; Gene Sorbellini, Recreation & Facilities Director;

Amanda Winne, Deputy Town Clerk

 

Supervisor Sofranko opened the workshop meeting at 7:00pm

The Town Board audited the monthly bills.

 

The Town Board discussed the following topics and reviewed the Agenda for the March 8, 2022 meeting:

  1. Short Term Rental Law- Supervisor Sofranko asked if any Board member had a questions concerning the law being introduced at the March 8th No Board Members had any questions, but Board Member Boggess quickly reviewed some of the changes made since the last public hearing.
  2. OCAC- the Board discussed the issuing of grant funds to the OCAC for the use of a promoting the Community Energy Efficiency Program. They will be printing a flyer and mailing it to residents.
  3. Intermunicipal Agreement with Onteora Central Schools
  4. Comprehensive Plan- Labella contract approval
  5. Highway Department- Purchasing of excavator
  6. Town Office Generator- the Generator had a rear seal leak, it is under warranty but will take a couple of days to repair when the weather gets nicer.
  7. Boiceville WWTP- the generator at the plant has been repaired. The control panel deteriorated, it was replaced and the old one will be rebuilt so there will be a spare.
  8. Highway Department- Superintendent Burns requested approval to sell old stock on Auctions International.
  9. Day Camp- the Board discussed Short Term Rental tenants attending Day Camp.

 

All pertinent business having been discussed the meeting adjourned on a Boggess/Edinger motion, at approximately 8:20 pm.
