Supervisor Sofranko called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
The Town Board began the meeting with a review of the tax levy after the changes were made from the last budget meeting. The new tax levy will be 0.7282% still well below the 2 % tax cap.
The Town Board reviewed the Highway Fund Budget line per line and made no new changes to the budget. They then proceeded to review the General Fund Budget with no further changes.
The Town Board thanked Janice Lanzarotta for her hard work on the budget and for staying beyond her retirement to help out. They welcomed Marlies to the Town and stated she had large shoes to fill.
The Town Board agreed that no further budget workshops are necessary and they canceled the October 26th budget workshop meeting.
The Town Board also agreed that a public hearing on the Local Law #5 of 2021 to override the tax levy limit would not be necessary and withdrew the Local Law.
The public hearing for the Olive Fire Department Contract was confirmed for November 4, 2021 at 6:45 pm.
The public hearing on the budget was confirmed for November 4, 2021 at 7pm.
All pertinent business having been discussed the Town Board on a Boggess/Read motion adjourned the meeting at 8:20 pm.
