The Zoning Board of Appeals for the Town of Olive has a term expiring on December 31. Although the
current board member has expressed an interest in serving another term, the Town Board will accept
letters of interest from additional applicants.
The five member appeal board is appointed by the Town Board and meets the first Thursday of each
month only when there is an application for review. Their determinations are made in compliance with
New York State law and the same local guidelines as the Olive Planning Board. They issue interpretations of Olive’s Zoning Ordinance and Map, as requested by application, and make determinations of whether or not to vary the Zoning Ordinance in hardship cases.
The term for this position on the ZBA ends 12/31/28.
The applicant must be a town resident and should have experience and an interest in planning, zoning,
